Windows 7 Printing tip

Do you routinely print to multiple printers from your laptop? Now you don't have to manually switch printers when you go from, say, home to work. Windows 7 does it automatically.

The new feature, included in the Professional, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions of Windows 7 (sorry Home version users), works like this: Whenever you print, Windows 7 remembers which network and printer you're using. Next time you return to that spot, Windows automatically switches the default printer to match the one you last used. You can also manually pair printers and networks.

Setup walkthrough from Microsoft can get you started, and the tip HERE from the LT Unlimited blog provides an end user experience to review. ◦

Anyone can now test-drive the drafting and detailing software without downloading the 1Gig+ behemoth app, and can try and test and use it firsthand to discover how the software has advanced from earlier versions in terms of productivity and new features set.

AutoCAD for MAC is here.

It official: if you own a recent "decent" or new Apple PC/MAC, or thinking about getting one, you can actually buy (or side upgrade to) a version of the program designed with your Operating System in mind.

No, it's not a half-baked port of a Windows app, and no it has no Ribbon (that's a Microsoft "thing", not Apple): it's is a true Apple OS application built from the ground up. Looking for screenshots, details, trial versions and purchase information at http://www.autodesk.com/autocadformac

Are you a student (or educator) with a MAC? You too can get in on this with a FREE (yes, free) Educational Version of this application for all your College/School needs. Details and licensing restrictions are at http://www.autodesk.com/mac4students
